A cinder block with 4 inch size weighs about 15 to 26 pounds while that of a size 6 inches weighs 28 to 32 pounds. Bigger cinder blocks like 8 inches weigh 35 to 40 pounds, 10 inch size weigh 43 to 55 pounds while 12 inches size weigh 58 to 62 pounds. The largest cinder block of 16 inches size has a maximum weight of 72 pounds.

Depending upon the application, it is used in construction industry a typical 2 core cinder block weighs about 38 Ibs (17 Kg) of size 8 x 8 x 16 inches hollow. The weight of 17 Kg represents the dry weight. The 02 hollow cells are filled with concrete and rebar. Depending upon the size, capacity and overall project dimensions the weight may vary.

Similarly, 76 Ibs (34 Kg) represents a typical solid core cinder block having dimensions 8 x 8 x 16 inches. 6 Kg (14 Ibs) represents the size of 8 x 8 x 8 inches. 25 Kg (55 Ibs) represents the size of 12 x 8 x 8 inches.

As per the United States practice and based upon light, medium and heavy weight conditions a typical cinder block having dimension 8 x 8 x 16 inch weight between 28-35 Ibs. It depends upon the density and size of cinder block as the most common size is 16 x 8 x 8 inches (length x height x width).

For instance, the nominal dimension of 4 inch cinder block is 16 x 4 x 8 inches, but the standard size will be 15*5/8 x 3*5/8 x 7*5/8 having weight of 14-18 Ibs. The density of good quality cinder block is 0.054 Ib/in3 and have a volume of 512 in3. As we know that density is obtained by dividing mass by volume. In this context while multiplying 512 with 0.054 gives you weight of cinder block that comes to be 14-18 Ibs.
